Never assume the enemy doesn't understand the language you're using. It was one of the first lessons Nikita had taught her, and Alex had taken advantage more than once of others making that assumption. But she doesn't correct Nikita she'd been asking so she'd know if Jason could understand their current enemies' Russian.

"Mandarin, then if we have to talk," she says once Nikita's moved off toward Division HQ. "But with Russian ears on them." A tip of her head suggests let's go, and she's all business. "Every one we draw out and put down is one less that can touch her, right?"
